When it comes to waterproof boxes, there are several materials available in the market, each with its own unique features. In this article, we will focus on three common materials: ABS, ABS plus PC, and pure PC.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is a widely used material for waterproof boxes. A waterproof box made of ABS, or an ABS waterproof enclosure, is known for its relatively low cost. It offers decent strength and is lightweight. However, compared to other materials, an ABS water – resistant case may have some limitations. It has a lower impact resistance, which means it might crack or break more easily under harsh impacts. For example, if you accidentally drop a heavy object on an ABS waterproof container, it could potentially get damaged.

ABS plus PC (Polycarbonate) is a combination that brings together the advantages of both materials. A watertight box made of ABS plus PC, also called an ABS+PC waterproof receptacle, has better impact resistance than pure ABS. The addition of PC enhances the toughness of the material, making it more suitable for applications where the waterproof box might face rough handling or accidental drops. It also provides good dimensional stability. Nevertheless, this combination might be a bit more expensive than pure ABS. And in some extreme conditions, such as very high temperatures, its performance could be affected.

Pure PC is a high – performance material for waterproof boxes. A PC – made water – impervious box, or a pure PC waterproof locker, is extremely strong and has excellent impact resistance. It can withstand heavy impacts without cracking or breaking easily. It also has good heat resistance, which means it can be used in environments with relatively high temperatures. For instance, a pure PC moisture – proof enclosure is ideal for storing items in areas where there is a risk of exposure to heat sources. However, pure PC is usually the most expensive option among these three materials, and it may have a slightly higher density, making the waterproof box a bit heavier.

In conclusion, when choosing a waterproof box, you need to consider your specific requirements and budget. If you are looking for a cost – effective option and the waterproof box will not be exposed to severe impacts, an ABS waterproof box might be suitable. If you need better impact resistance and don’t mind a slightly higher cost, an ABS+PC waterproof box could be a good choice. And if you require the highest level of strength, impact resistance, and heat resistance, and are willing to pay a premium, a pure PC waterproof box is the way to go. Don’t hesitate to select the right waterproof box to protect your valuable items effectively.
